Jahleel Bailey, age 22, of Staten Island, waived extradition from New York on Wednesday, Feb. 3, and was sent back to Bridgeport to face murder charges.

Bailey is accused of killing Brandon Goode, of Bridgeport, who was found dead around 7:25 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 13, after Bridgeport Police responded to 242 Harral Ave., for a reported assault, said Scott Appleby, director of the Office of Emergency Management.

When officers arrived on the scene they found the 26-year-old man suffering from wounds to his lower extremities, said Bridgeport PD Capt. Brian Fitzgerald.

An autopsy revealed that Goode died after being stabbed multiple times in the legs, buttocks, and groin, police said.

Bailey allegedly stabbed Goode after the man threatened to leave his wife, Bailey's sister, and the husband and wife began to fight and hit each other. The wife, all the time, was allegedly begging him not to leave.

The loud fight drew the attention of neighbors and Bailey, who was living with the couple at the time.

The wife told police she saw a group of men chasing her husband away following their fight.

Police later found surveillance video that shows Bailey stabbing Goode, police said.

Police also said they located a large kitchen knife with a bent end, used in the attack in a nearby yard.

Bailey fled the area after the stabbing.

In addition to murder, Bailey has also been charged with carrying a dangerous weapon.
